CCSE Centres - Spanish Nationality Exams
Both exams can only be paid for electronically through the private user area of this website by credit card, debit card or PayPal.
The price of CCSE is 85 € and you have two chances to pass the exam (to take the second chance you have a period of 18 months from the date of registration), while the DELE A2 is 130 € and you only have one chance.
You have 14 days from the date of registration to request a refund.
The CCSE test is held on the last Thursday of each month (except in August and December) in two sittings: at 18:00 h. and at 20:00 h. where places are available. Candidates must present themselves half an hour before at 5.30 p.m. and at 7.30 p.m.
It consists of 25 questions with only one correct answer (correct answers receive 1 mark, incorrect answers receive 0 marks and are not penalised). There are questions with three answer options of which only one is true and other questions with only one true or false answer option. In order to prepare for the exam you can download the Manual from the Instituto Cervantes website.
To pass the test and obtain the grade of APTO it is necessary to answer 15 of the 25 questions correctly.
The result will be published 20 days after the exam in the private area of the website: www.cervantes.es being the grades: PASS / FAIL and you can download the electronic certificate of qualification.
This exam is valid for 4 years.
The documentation that candidates must bring with them:
- Registration slip that you received by e-mail.
- Original official identity document with photo (the document that you have indicated on your registration, which must be the same as the one that appears in your nationality file):
- DNI if you are a citizen of the European Union.
- NIE document if you are a non-EU resident in Spain.
- Original passport.
DELE A2 exam
No exams are held in June, September and December and you can access the calendar of exam dates on the Instituto Cervantes website.
This exam does not expire.
It consists of 4 tests:
- Reading comprehension.
- Listening comprehension.
- Written expression and interaction.
- Oral expression and interaction.

2.- Once you have accessed this page you have to go to the bottom left hand side and select the exams portal:

4.- If you have never registered before, please select NEW USER at the top right:
5.- Enter your email address and click CHECKOUT. You will then need to fill in your personal details to create your account:
6.- You will receive an email with a link to set your account password:
7.- Once you click on the link you can enter your password which you MUST REMEMBER OR NOTE:

For the registration to be correct, once the online payment is made on the website, you should receive two e-mails:
- a first email with the payment confirmation form,
- a second email with the registration form containing the code, date and details of the examination centre. If you do not receive it, you can obtain it directly in your private area in the Registration section.
- You can receive free legal advice and all the information and training necessary to register and prepare for both tests.
- Information sessions are held on the requirements and procedures for applying for Spanish nationality.
- Mock exams to test the knowledge acquired in the courses.
- You can take the CCSE test at our centres.
